Finding out more about me!

As already mentioned I have been in the pest control industry for over 15 years and over that time have learnt a lot about a lot of things - I will touch on some of the weirder things I have learnt another time...!

Today I would like to share with you one of the best tips I know - which I am always giving out - which relates to one of the most common type of pests people encounter, especially over the summer, Wasps!

Essentially with this method we are trying to draw wasps to a particular area of the garden (away from kids) and into a container that they can't get out of.

What you need to do, is get a large empty plastic bottle and cut it (carefully) around 3/4 of the way up until you are left with two bits. Then pour some coke or sprite (or any other sweet drink) into the bottom of the bottle. Then turn the top part (with the bottle neck) upside down and place inside the other part. Use duck tape to hold the top part of the bottle inside the bottom part. This will attract the wasps and they wont be able to escape once inside...! Remember to place this high up (around 2m off the ground) and away from where people are sitting.

I'll leave you with a couple of links which I would recommend that you take a look at which can often help you with pest control problems: Pest Control Kent and Vermatik on Amazon.

Welcome!

Well, where do I start? Having been in the pest control industry for over 15 years with many stories to tell, I was urged to start my own blog... so here it is! I don't know how often I'll be updating this with pest control stories and tips, so I gues I'll just have to see where this takes me!

Wish me luck!
